When I look back on the past decade of my life
Looking back changes my perspective of looking forward
The things that were once significant seem insignificant now
And the things that felt small then are everything today

Carnival and rides, I still taste those summer nights
When I pass by those colored lights
We're still spinning fast but we do the best we can

It's crazy how time can change you
My experiences have shaped me and I'm just not
The same as that shy timid girl that I used to be
I've faced so many fears
I've fallen down hundreds of times but I got back up
And I've learned the meaning and action of love
It hasn't been a fairy tale, it's been painful at times
But it's beautiful and I'm thankful for the journey
And in a way, I know it's only the beginning
